Chess Moving Melbourne supports National Breast Cancer Foundation

Chess Moving Pink TruckChess Moving Melbourne is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Breast Cancer is the most common invasive cancer diagnosed in families in Australia. It is estimated that almost 13,300 Australian women will be diagnosed this year. In Australia there are currently 113,000 women and 730 men who are cured after being diagnosed with this cancer in the last 20 years. Statistics show that this disease touches all of us, either directly or indirectly, in some shape of form.

The team at Chess Moving Melbourne approached the National Breast Cancer Foundation to ascertain how we could assist the funding of research for the prevention and cure of this disease.

As a result Chess Moving Melbourne have added a “pink” carton to our range of packing materials with a donation of 35 cents per carton sold being donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Chess Moving Melbourne intends to utilise the “pink” carton on all their domestic and office relocation projects. Chess recently relocated 2500 Australia Post staff to their new office building at 111 Bourke Street Melbourne. One pink carton was utilised per staff member thus amounting to a $875.00 donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

To date the National Breast Cancer Foundation has allocated more than $27 million to Breast Cancer Research, funding more than 180 research projects across Australia. Our participation in this program was met with overwhelming enthusiasm when announced to the Chess staff.

Chess Moving Melbourne have repainted one of their existing trucks, pink to assist the promotion of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The pink truck has been well received by the corporate market and general community, with positive comments being relayed to our staff on a daily basis.
