CHESS ROAD SHOW
In conjunction with Canning Coalition Chess Moving Perth conducted a road show in November. Canning Coalition is a partnership broker between and among key stakeholders to support young people in education or training and realize their full social and economic potential.
We visited Kent Street Senior High School and promoted potential career paths to 60 students. Included in the programme was exposure to Safety and Health, Packing Skills, a trolley obstacle course, plus a chance to view and sit behind the wheel of a M.A.N prime mover.
The highlight of the day was the pack off where student’s packed a carton of crockery which was subject to the “drop test”.
The day was well received, the students had a bit of fun and got a good insight into a potential career path in furniture transport and warehousing.
