CHESS MELBOURNE RELOCATES AUSSIE ICON
It was decided that Fosters beer and wine companies were to split as business entities, thus a major reshuffle of their 450 employees was required to be undertaken, over 5 levels, at their Southbank Boulevard premises in Melbourne Australia.
Chess Moving Melbourne’s scope included extensive packing and unpacking of cartons for the client's 450 staff, dismantling and reassembly of compactus units, relocation of numerous libraries and central filing areas, coupled with the relocation of furniture, IT equipment and cartons. The relocation program enabled the central filing areas, libraries and compactus units to be relocated prior to the main move weekend. The main relocation, was conducted over three shifts which ran in accordance with our intricate relocation program, commencing at 2.00pm Friday and concluding at 4.30pm on Sunday. Chess Melbourne provided a team of staff on the Monday, being the first working day post move, to perform fine tuning. The Fosters Beer Company also had a large memorabilia collection which required relocation to a new space within the complex. The valuable collection, which had been built up over many years, required specialized packaging and handling, to ensure the safe arrival of all items. The Chess Moving Melbourne project team, comprising of Rick King and Rick Sposi to, worked closely with the Fosters project staff throughout the move process. Project Manager Rick King stated that “it was a terrific project to be involved with, each stage of the project ran smoothly and the relocation was completed before time” “Fosters were a great client to work for. They looked after our staff incredibly well, catering for them at every break. A smorgasbord of sandwiches, pizza, cakes and drinks were made available to all staff.” The success of this project will now see Chess Moving Australia perform similar relocations for Fosters on a national basis, over the coming months.
